Established in 1881, Oak Grove Cemetery spans 90 acres of gently rolling New England landscape in Springfield, Massachusetts. Ornamental trees, meandering pathways, and carefully tended grounds shift with the seasons — from the soft greens of spring to the deep amber and rust of a Massachusetts autumn.
The 1884 Bay Street brownstone archway anchors the entrance as it has for nearly 150 years, framing a place where history, nature, and memory meet. These photographs offer a glimpse of what makes Oak Grove one of Western Massachusetts’ most distinctive and enduring landmarks.
